How to Plan for Smoky Mountain Weddings

Whether your wedding day is months or just three weeks away, you should plan accordingly. Consider the following tips on how to best plan for Smoky Mountains weddings if you need to have it as a success.

12+ Plus Months

In this stage, you probably are not in a hurry. However, make sure to choose a date, up to three, and decide on the fittest. Also, start working on a budget, wedding party, and your wedding style. Your wedding committee, if you have one, can come in handy for consultations.

10 Months

If you are about 10 months to your planned wedding day, you are on a roll now. This is the right time to:
  • Look for and book or purchase or hire wedding dress, undergarments, and veil
  • Choose the bridal party attire and accessories
  • Look for and book an officiant.
  • Reserve the ceremony and reception venues
  • Start hunting for photographers, videographers, bands or DJs, florists, and planners.

4-5 Months

This is the time to:
  • Schedule dress fittings
  • Book honeymoon venues, hotels, and flights
  • Choose flowers for the wedding party, venues, attendants, and cakes
  • Order your wedding cake
  • Book rehearsals
  • Finalize the guest list

3-1 Months

You are almost done now. Take this chance to:
  • Finalize all the plans
  • Plan the seating arrangements
  • Order menu cards and wedding flavors
  • Experiment with hair and veil and get your wedding attire.
